Experts say when we interact with others we are always "leaking" with our face or body what we are thinking or feeling. My wife, the Sarge, has a way of refusing to acknowledge what I am saying and demanding to know what I am actually "thinking," since I'm apparently a pretty bad "leaker."

Seattle PD's Homeless Parody
Seattle PD's Assistant Chief Jim Pugel apologized for appearing in a 1986 police training video mocking homlessness. The parody video, "Under the Viaduct," offers alternative lyrics to "Under the Boardwalk" and shows homeless drinking wine, breaking into cars and being rousted by police. Read the full story here.

Asheville PD's Bicycle Patrol Training
This video shows bicycle training on cone patterns by the Asheville (N.C.) Police Department. The department offered the training on maneuvering techniques in June 2008, as it rejuvenated its bicycle patrols in the city.

Law enforcement software is now available for PDAs that can give you license plate information in 15 seconds while you are standing on the side of the road in the rain. There are even systems that will prioritize what they display first when you run a subject's operator's license so that they will show you that the driver is wanted for assault on a peace officer in another county before they show you his address.

Baltimore police allowed the media to see police body camera video of the fatal shooting of a hostage suspect. Only a portion of the video is being released publicly Tuesday because police don't want to further traumatize the two children who police said were held at knifepoint by Reno Owens Jr. on Friday.
