Vintage Patrol: 1968 Dodge Coronet
Ted Saraf's strong memories of his rolling office as a young officer with the Pasadena (Calif.) Police Department led him to Texas in 2008 to find and restore the object of his affection—a 1968 Dodge Coronet. Saraf purchased the vehicle via eBay, and set out to lovingly restore it to how he remembered it during its service days in the late 1960s and '70s. Saraf brought the vehicle to the 2011 Police Fleet Expo to show attendees his finished work.

Tribute To An Inspiration
As we stared at the sea of vehicles, the hair stood up on my arms and the back of my neck. Memories of the previous three weeks were replaced by a sense of pride, duty and honor. I wanted more than anything to be a part of what I saw, to belong among the people who were gathered to pay respect to a fallen officer.

Denver Officer Writes Open Letter Criticizing Chief
A Denver officer wrote this angry open letter to Chief Robert White following an anti-police protest where the department's fallen officer memorial was defaced with red paint. Reportedly, officers were ordered to stand down during the attack on the memorial and not intervene. The letter was sent to local media.
