Iowa Trooper Seriously Injured in Pursuit Crash
The trooper, identified by the Iowa State Patrol as Dillon Malone, was taken by medical helicopter to a hospital. Police said they didn’t think the trooper’s injuries were life-threatening. Malone was listed in fair condition Thursday at Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.

State Agencies Select Smith & Wesson M&P Rifles
Smith & Wesson has announced that the Nevada Department of Public Safety (DPS) has chosen to equip its officers with 500 M&P15X tactical rifles. Nevada DPS joins a number of law enforcement agencies that have converted to Smith & Wesson tactical rifles, including the Nebraska State Patrol, which also recently selected duty rifles the M&P Series.
