ICE Arrests 3,100 In Nationwide Sweep
Federal immigration agents arrested more than 3,100 illegal immigrants during a six-day nationwide sweep aimed at convicted aliens, fugitives and other violators. The "Cross Check" enforcement operation was conducted in every state, involved more than 1,900 agents, and netted more than 1,000 people with multiple convictions.

NTSB Recommends Nationwide Ban on Driver Cellphone Use
The National Transportation Safety Board has recommended a nationwide ban on driver use of all portable electronic devices in a vehicle, including hands-free devices. Exceptions would be devices that assist the driver in getting to a destination and for use in emergency situations.
