Chevy Recalling 47,000 Caprice Patrol Vehicles for Seat Belt Concern
According to documents GM filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, flexible steel cables that connect seat belts to the vehicle at the outside of the driver seat may be bent from being sat upon while entering the vehicle. Over time, repeated bending may break the cable.

Feds Investigate Ford CVPI Steering Failure
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has opened a preliminary evaluation of a steering failure on Ford Crown Vic Police Interceptors in the 2005-2008 model years. A possible recall could affect as many as 195,000 vehicles.

G.M. Recalls Chevy Impala Patrol Cars
General Motors is recalling more than 38,000 Chevrolet Impala patrol cars in North America because the lower front control arms could fracture, increasing the risk of a crash. The recall affects Impala police vehicles from model years 2008 to 2012.
