Three people have been charged in the shooting of a Memphis Police officer. The Organized Crime Unit officer, who was shot in the chest Wednesday night while serving a warrant, has been released from the hospital. More Here.
Fifteen years ago, the officers won a lawsuit against City of Memphis that found promotion tests were discriminatory toward African-Americans and women. A judge agreed and those officers were promoted. More Here.
Police identified the officer as Paris Glass, a seven-year veteran of MPD. She’s been relieved of duty and is on non-enforcement status pending the outcome of an administrative hearing. MPD isn’t pointing out exactly where she appears in the video. She is not the lead vocalist. More Here.
