After listening to reams of evidence in three lengthy sessions, the grand jury decided not to indict anyone in Sandra Bland’s death, nor any of the employees at the Waller County Jail, where she died in custody back in July. Male-Specific DNA Test Yields Clues in Texas Criminal Cases
A progressive type of testing that separates male DNA profiles from those of females is helping the Harris County Medical Examiner's Office start solving sexual assaults and other crimes that previously yielded inconclusive results. The new male-specific DNA test zeroes in on minute amounts of biological evidence, such as saliva, skin cells or a trace of semen.

FBI: No Evidence of Homicide in 2017 Death of Border Patrol Agent
“To date, this investigation has not conclusively determined how Agent Rogelio Martinez and his partner ended up at the bottom of the culvert, and no suspects have been linked to this incident,” the FBI said in a written statement Wednesday. “To date none of the more than 650 interviews completed, locations searched, or evidence collected and analyzed have produced evidence that would support the existence of a scuffle, altercation, or attack.”

The Fourth Amendment governs three forms of activity: searches (intrusions into privacy), seizures of the person (detentions and arrests), and seizures of property. If these acts are not authorized by judicial warrant, they must come within one or more of the court-created exceptions for warrantless search and seizure (Katz v. U.S.).
