Most Charlotteans are happy with the way Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are doing their job, according to a new poll from Elon University released Tuesday. Nearly 85 percent of respondents said they were satisfied or very satisfied with the police department's performance overall, compared to only 11 percent who were dissatisfied or very dissatisfied.
