A SWAT standoff at a barbershop on Houston's south side ended this morning after police stormed the building and subdued an armed man with help from a dog and a Taser. Police said the man took his brother and sister-in-law hostage inside Dugar's Urban Kuts in the 9100 block of Scott about 1:45 a.m.

Starting Jan. 1, Houston Police Department officers must cover all visible tattoos or body art while on duty or while wearing a department uniform. The art can only be covered with their uniform or plainclothes, not a bandage or sweatband.
