Federal Agent Dies from Injuries Sustained in On-Duty Crash
The agent worked for U.S. Homeland Security Investigations, often in an undercover capacity, and had been on assignment in south Florida on Jan. 15 when he and another special agent were struck by a gray Mercedes as they tried to hail a cab. The crash happened after 2 a.m. on Collins Avenue, a major thoroughfare in Miami Beach.
