N.C. Agency Saves on Fuel Costs With Idle Reduction System, Propane Vehicles

The Raleigh (N.C.) Police Department has saved more than $22,000 through the use of propane autogas in 20 vehicles, and it expects savings of $63,000 through the use of Energy Xtreme Battery Systems anti-idling devices on 29 vehicles.

Austin city officials have approved a 36-month supply contract with Energy Xtreme LLC to purchase, integrate, test, and maintain an anti-idling/alternate power system for 80 police vehicles.
