Ga. Humane Society Calls for Investigation of Police K-9 Death
The dog, Sasha, was found dead Sept. 3 inside the Chevrolet Tahoe belonging to her handler, Lt. T.J. Frye of the Warwick Police Department in South Georgia, according to a Warwick police report. Frye returned home from a three-day trip to find the animal inside the vehicle. He later buried Sasha in his own yard.

Teen Who Killed Sacramento Deputy Permanently Removed From Society
Jimmy Siackisorn ambushed Deputy Vu Nguyen during a foot pursuit. The deputy was pursuing the "young but prolific lawbreaker" through the back yards of a tough south Sacramento neighborhood. Siackisorn shot the deputy an top of a chicken coop.
