Sheriff Arpaio Says Mexican Cartel Placed $1 Million Bounty On His Head
The sheriff's spokeswoman relayed the threat, which came from the FBI, according to the Arizona Republic. As a vocal proponent of tougher enforcement of illegal immigration, Arpaio said death threats against him are not unusual. He said the more recent bounty was for $5 million.

Drug dealers were financing meetings of gang members from rival gangs, and these meetings were being arbitrated by OGs (veteran gang members) or the Fruit of Islam, Black Muslim security units.
