The Berkeley County (SC) Sheriff's Office has released video of a high-speed pursuit that ended with the death of the pursued motorcyclist. The Wednesday night pursuit lasted more than five minutes and the involved deputy has been placed on leave.

There was a gunfight between Gist and a suspect identified as Travis Cantelle Smith, 36, authorities report. It's not clear if Gist hit Smith during the exchange, but Gist was hit at least three times. Some of the shots hit her body armor. More Here.

The man police suspected in the attempted murder of Berkeley County, S.C., Deputy Lt. Will Rogers was identified through a DNA match, and was fatally shot by police after opening fire on them, bringing an end to a 10-hour standoff in downtown Charleston.
