Fallen Seattle Cop Honored 76 Years After Death

A Seattle Police officer killed in the line of duty in 1935 has been awarded the state's Law Enforcement Medal of Honor. Officer Olof Wilson was on foot patrol, when he crossed the street to answer a police call box and was struck by a drunk driver.

Officers Rachel Morgan and Ryan Hayo of the Paramus (N.J.) Police Department have been named officers of the month for July by the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund. The officers returned fired at a driver who began shooting at Morgan from his car lodged in a snow bank.
