At least two men used the heavy equipment to lift the ATM from its footings at the First National Bank of the South on Sunset Boulevard. In the footage, the forklift operator is seen lifting the ATM off its footings and moving it toward a pickup truck's bed.

The murdered guards were identified as Joe Alullo, 50, who retired as a sergeant in 2000 after 27 years on the force, and former Police Officer William Widmaier, 65, a 23-year veteran who retired in 1989.

Man Blowing Up ATM Killed in Philadelphia
Police say the deceased 24-year-old man tried using an explosive device to blow up the ATM by Sidekicks Sports Bar, but when the device went off, he was thrown to the ground with serious injuries. He was rushed to a nearby hospital and died.

CA Man Tried to Blow Up ATM Machines to Get Cash, Police Say
Officers went there "regarding a loud noise and possible explosion," Green said. "When police officers arrived, they found a stand-alone automated teller machine located outside of the cashier's office with significant damage," Green said. "A closer inspection of the ATM suggested that some type of explosive was used in an attempt to steal money from the machine."
