Officer Critically Wounded in Louisville Bank Attack Transferred to Another Hospital for Pneumonia Treatment

The rookie Louisville police officer who was shot in the head responding to an active shooter at the Old National Bank seven days ago has been transferred to a different hospital to be treated for pneumonia.

Officer Nick Wilt, 26, remains in critical condition, WLKY reports.

Last week, he contracted pneumonia. The Louisville Metro Police Foundation said Wilt would be moved to UofL Health Jewish Hospital to be treated for it.

In a statement from the foundation, it said that pneumonia is a common complication for patients who have been on ventilators.

ilt is the last victim to still hospitalized following the shooting.
