GONNA BE A ZERO

1. GONNA BE A ZERO
0 up, 0 down
(Also: Going Zero)—Dead subject or victim. Usage: Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. L.A. County Sheriff's Department reports are coded for how long they are kept before being destroyed (retention code). A (0) zero retention means the report is kept forever and never destroyed. One example is a murder report. So to say it's "gonna be a zero," or "going zero," means the victim died.
