Do you think wearing on-body cameras on duty should be mandatory?

ATE UP

1. ATE UP
6 up, 0 down
Also refers to someone overly eager, but unrealistic about the job. Think Tackleberry from the old Police Academy movies. Buys every cop gadget, attends every tactical training seminar, and patrols wearing safety glasses, kevlar lined gloves, CPR mask attached to belt, two back up guns, etc. Treats every call like a SWAT call-out.

"Why did that rookie draw his weapon on that old lady?" "Man, he's so ate up he thinks every citizen on the street is waiting to attack him."

2. ATE UP
4 up, 1 down
One who is totally immersed, obsessed, or possessed with the descriptor that follows. Usually a Negative connotation ....
"Dude, that guy is just ATE-UP with the Dumbass!"
"Dude, that guy is just ATE-UP with Stupid/Crazy/Ass-Clownery/etc !"

(See Also, "ALL-ABOUT" for the Positive reference)

3. ATE-UP
1 up, 1 down
Someone who is consistently incorrect, ineffective, clueless, or inadequate on the job.

Also applies to improper wear, care or use of the uniform.

The term indicates that it would appear that the individual had been chewed on and spit back out.

"Man, did you see Deputy Weenie's shirt? Looks like he slept in that thing. He is so Ate-Up.

No good, messed up, crazy.
Based on Military's Section 8, like Corperal Klinger from MASH.
