A 42-year-old motorist who allegedly dragged a state trooper for 80 feet with his car while trying to escape a DWI arrest has been charged with two felonies.

A 42-year-old motorist who allegedly dragged a state trooper for 80 feet with his car while trying to escape a DWI arrest has been charged with two felonies, reports the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Marc S. Staszcuk, 42, of the 1500 block of Madre Drive near Foristell, was charged with vehicular assault of a law enforcement officer while intoxicated and resisting arrest.

The trooper, Erica L. Grass, 26, a three-year veteran, was treated for scrapes and road rash at St. Joseph's Hospital and released a few hours later.
