A Phoenix Police sergeant heading back to the police station to end her shift saved a family from a burning home on Tuesday.

A Phoenix Police sergeant heading back to the police station to end her shift saved a family from a burning home on Tuesday.

Sgt. Stefani Gombar noticed a large amount of black smoke off State Route 51 and rushed to the burning home. The family was asleep. Sgt. Gombar pounded on the door, waking up the family, and got them out of the house, reports KNVX.
