July 11, 2013
A Minneapolis Police officer was bucked and stepped on by her horse Wednesday during training but has escaped major injury, reports Minnesota Public Radio.
The accident occurred while the agency's mounted patrol unit trained new recruits on how to handle large crowds.
The horse got spooked and threw the female officer. The horse then stepped on the officer's chest and face. The officer was wearing protective gear.

Thank God for that ballistic vest. I hope you recover quickly and return to duty soon. Find that horse again and show it who is the boss and you will mentally heal faster and be better prepared for the future. Don't give up.
