Father and Daughter Officers Hit Streets In L.A.

July 12, 2012  |

A Los Angeles Police Department officer joined her father on patrol Wednesday, after completing her probationary period, according to the department.

Officer Jamie Carganilla and her father Officer Pat Cronin, a 29-year veteran of the force, teamed up for the day to patrol the Reseda area of Los Angeles.

The department celebrated the ceremonial patrol as a symbolic gesture.

With the event, the department is "celebrating an LAPD career of nearly 30 years alongside another that's just beginning," according to an agency release. "The event also symbolizes a family tradition of service to law enforcement."
