A Fayette County (Iowa) Sheriff's deputy has fully recovered from her exposure to anhydrous ammonia while attempting to arrest a man who was stealing the substance.
Kyle D. Boleyn, 36, was arrested Sunday on suspicion of trying to steal anhydrous ammonia at 9 a.m. on Feb. 1 from a tank at a cooperative just north of Hawkeye.
While attempting to arrest Boleyn, the deputy was overcome by fumes from the anhydrous ammonia, which is commonly used to produce meth, reports The Gazette.
