Ga. Officer Killed In Wreck Pursuing Armed Robbers

An Albany (Ga.) Police officer was killed and a second was injured in a wreck after their patrol cars collided while the officers pursued two armed robbery suspects.

Officer Terry L. Fleming, 36, was killed when her cruiser struck a tree and burst into flames. Officer Gregory Batson, who was driving the other cruiser, was injured in the crash at 4 p.m. Friday, reports the Albany Herald.

The two 22-year-old suspects were arrested after they crashed their Chevy Tahoe. Officer Fleming leaves behind a husband and three children.
