Oakland Cop Shoots Man Who Punched Her, Swung Metal Bar

A possibly homeless man forced an Oakland Police officer to shoot him Friday, after he punched her and began swinging a metal bar at her head that he pulled out of a shopping cart.
Two officers were citing the man for urinating on a wall when he attacked the officers. The female officer was treated and released. The man is expected to survive. The incident occurred at 7:41 p.m. in the 2100 block of Fruitvale Avenue.

That's what happens when you play with the big boys. It doesn't matter that he was homeless or mental. The threat is still the same.

It really doesn't matter to many people in Oakland. When the four officers were killed by one POS, he was held as a hero by the community he was from. People cheered on the street as he executed the two motor officers. Some people say that police "get paid to be killed". "It's their job to get beaten up". So when someone threatens an OPD or BART Police, the community expects the police to stand there an take it.
