Off-Duty Maryland Officer Arrested After Assaulting City Cop

An off-duty Howard County (Md.) Police Department officer was arrested outside of a nightclub early Sunday after assaulting a municipal officer who was attempting to disperse a rowdy crowd.
Officer Casey Robert Lechter was arrested after he punched a female Baltimore Police officer in uniform who was attempting to disperse a crowd at 2 a.m., after someone yelled, "[Expletive] the police!"
A bystander grabbed Lechter and pinned him against a vehicle until other officers could arrive, reports the Baltimore Sun.
Lechter is a U.S. Marine Corps who reservist served a seven-month tour in Afghanistan in 2010, according to the Harris County Web site.
