Former Ga. Deputy Sentenced to 65 Years for Killing Officer Wife

Ex-DeKalb County Sheriff's deputy Derrick Yancey, 51, was sentenced to 65 years in prison, following his conviction for killing his officer wife and another man.
A jury had found Derrick Yancey guilty of shooting Cax-Puluc and Linda Yancey several times, including a final blow as the gun was pressed into his wife's heart. He then concocted a story to look like the 20-year-old laborer had tried to rob the wife and he fired in self-defense, reports the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
