5.11 Tactical Hosts Shooting Competition

November 07, 2003  |

Makers of law enforcement tactical wear and uniforms 5.11 Tactical will host its first international shooting competition, open to all law enforcement officers.

Teams of two officers each can enter the 5.11 Challenge online at www.policeone.com. Starting in January, each week for 32 weeks one randomly selected team will be invited to participate in shooting competitions set for July and August in Bighorn County, Montana.

Participating teams will be flown to Montana to compete for three days (Friday through Sunday) in three weapons proficiency events: handgun and rifle range targets, shotgun wing shooting, and single-action handgun targets.

The three highest scoring teams will be invited to return on another all expenses paid trip, this time with their families, to compete in a grand championship round. The winning team’s agency will receive up to 200 sets of equipment provided by 5.11 Challenge sponsors.
