When fired into light cloth or heavy cloth, the unique slug design segments into three pieces, causing multiple wound channels and increased trauma. The segmenting action also reduces the risk of overpenetration. But when faced with hard barriers such as plywood, car doors, or drywall, the round behaves like a traditional slug with maintained integrity and full energy on target.
