Man Dies After Being Tasered by Florida Deputy

A Parkland man who was Tasered on Tuesday during a scuffle with Broward sheriff's deputies in front of the Sawgrass Infiniti car dealership in Tamarac has died in the hospital, according to authorities.

Cover, the original inventor of the TASER technology, passed away at the age of 88 at his home near Los Angeles, Calif. on Feb. 7, 2009, due to Alzheimer’s disease and pneumonia.
