SHOT Show 2015: SIG Sauer Expands Line of Elite Performance Handgun Ammunition

January 19, 2015  |

SIG Sauer has expanded its line of Elite Performance handgun ammunition with new configurations of 9mm, .40 S&W, and .45 ACP.

SIG is now offering two new loads for 9mm in SIG V-Crown Jacketed Hollow Points: 115-grain and 147-grain subsonic. The initial 124-grain bullet loading will also be available.

In addition, the ammo line now includes a 180-grain SIG V-Crown bullet in .40 S&W. New for the .45 Auto is a 230-grain and a 185-grain., both of which are SIG V-Crown bullets. The .45 Auto ammo is also available in a 200-grain bullet weight.

Designed specifically for self defense, Elite Performance pistol ammunition features a proprietary stacked hollow point bullet for reliable, uniform expansion, and optimal terminal performance. Ducta-Bright 7A coated brass cases also ensure enhanced lubricity, superior corrosion resistance, and more reliable feeding and extraction with auto loading bullets.

In addition to the new configurations, Elite Performance Ammunition is also available in: 90-grain .380 Auto, 125-grain .357 SIG, 165-grain and 180-grain .40 S&W, and 185-grain, 200-grain and 230-grain .45 Auto.

The Elite Performance line will continue to grow in the months ahead with additional offerings in pistol ammunition and the introduction of rifle ammunition loadings for the hunting and tactical markets.

All Elite Performance Ammunition is manufactured in the United States by SIG Sauer to the same exacting standards as the company’s premium pistols and rifles. For more information, visit
