First Kershaw-Emerson Knives Now Available
June 13, 2014
The first "Designed by Emerson, Built by Kershaw" knives are now available. All models, except the 6024BLK and 6094BLK, are currently shipping to dealers and are available through the Kai USA website (kershawknives.com) and will be available from dealers as soon as they receive their shipments.
All Kershaw-Emersons open manually using either the thumb disk or the patented Emerson "wave shaped feature." This opening feature enables the knife to be opened as it is removed from the pocket. A small wave-shaped tab on the top of the blade is built to catch on the pocket seam, opening the knife as it comes out of the pocket. This instant-open feature is a favorite among military, rescue, and law enforcement knife users. See the full Kershaw-Emerson lineup here.

I've used a lot of different knives for duty carry. Emerson knives seem to be the sweet spot between cost and performance (not to mention excellent warranty and customer service). I am excited about these knives because their design and pricing may entice more officers to purchase a better duty knife.
