Sphinx has introduced the SDP Compact 9mm Kryptonight Edition that features a special finish, 17-round magazine, and Defiance H.A.L.O. (H3 Adaptive Luminescent Optic) green sights.

The new Defiance sights are designed and optimized for day and nighttime operations with combined patented fiber-optic and tritium technology to enhance target acquisition. Pricing and availability haven't been determined.

The pistol is a special version of the Sphinx SDP Compact 9mm semi-auto pistol introduced a year ago.

The pistol's upper frame is made from aircraft-grade aluminum with Teflon inserts and a polymer lower frame. The SDP Compact features three interchangeable back straps to accommodate various hand sizes and an ambidextrous de-cocking lever. The Sphinx SDP retails for $1,295.
