Gay Teen Fires Stun Gun to Ward Off Bullies
May 07, 2012

A gay teenager claims he brought a stun gun to school and fired it into the air to defend himself from bullies. The teen now faces possible expulsion.
Darnell "Dynasty" Young, 17, said he faced daily harassment at Arsenal Technical High School and reported the bullying to school officials more than 10 times, reports MSNBC. Young's mother said she gave her son the stun gun for protection because the school wasn't doing enough.
Young fired the stun gun on April 16 when a group of students encircled him and threatened to beat him up. The group dispersed, but Young was arrested and later suspended.

Where is your compassion? I am so glad not to be a resident of your perfect town. He was a child, he doesn't think like an adult he lacks both the emotional maturity and the life experience to fully realize his actions. But I completely understood his frustration. His school failed him in a big way and if the truth be known I bet the teachers teased and harrassed him as well. The school is and any police officer are in "loco parentis" once you assume responsibility for any minor child so legally the school should have protected him like he was their son but they forgot that. It's quite obvious even to a blind man he never wanted to actually hurt anybody but for some reason you cannot see that. The phrase "loco parentis" is used in basic police training in most states... look it up.
