AdeQ Firearms Co. introduced the Vigilum full-sized, 1911-style pistol as its first handgun offering at the Enforcement Expo trade show in Las Vegas.

The Vigilum is being offered with features that include a rail system, five-pound match trigger, adjustable low profile night sights, 30LPI front strap checkering, optional blended magazine well, G10 grips, beavertail safety, match barrel, bushing and link, lowered and flared ejection port, according to the company.

The pistol is offered in the standard 1911 chambered .45 ACP, as well as .40 S&W and 9mm. The guns will be produced at the company's Tampa, Fla., facility.

Vigilum is a Roman military term originating from the word Vigiles or more properly the Vigiles Urbani ("watchmen of the city") or Cohortes Vigilum ("cohorts of the watchmen") who were the firefighters and police of ancient Rome.

As the Agency of Record for AdeQ Firearms Company, I highly recommend this great piece of equipment. I have seen it up close and it is a beautiful pistol. Remember at AdeQ, we are committed to bringing you quality firearms. For Law Enforcement, By Law Enforcement. Check out our web site.

I saw these guys over at the Enforcement Expo in Las Vegas last week!!! They had a great set up and were very friendly including the gals at the table. Their chief armorer let me handle their weapons and it sure made a difference in seeing the quality that these guys put into their weapons. The pistol had the smoothest five pound trigger pull I've ever tried but their sniper rifle is unbelievable!!! Its trigger pull will sneak up on even the most experienced sniper!!! I'm planning to purchase not only their pistol but most definitely one of their rifles as well!!!! These guys are worth checking out!!! - Vic

I heard that half of the people working there are either ex- or current law enforcement as well as military veterans who together have decades of experience in weapons as well as tactical applications that would be beneficial when putting these weapons together. Met these guys at the Tactical Gear Expo and seem to be on the level and yes, even pleasant to talk with.

I would have to disagree with the above comments. The men that work at AdeQ do not have vast military or law enforcement experience. I met these guys at SWAT Roundup in Orlando and could smell the BS right from the beginning. The one guy claims to have been in the Navy, but his story didn't make any sense to me. His LE experience was pretty underwhelming too. He is a Reserve Deputy and isn't allowed to go on the road unsupervised. Being former military and current LE, a lot of things didn't add up with them. Just make sure you thoroughly research this place before buying anything. If they are dishonest about this then who knows what else they are being dishonest about. Buyer beware. Also, I question the true manufacturer of this pistol because as I looked at it, I noticed "Fusion" engraved on the left.
