Command Arms Accessories (CAA) has introduced the RONI Recon pistol conversion kit, allowing an operator to convert a Glock into a carbine-like weapon.
The RONI Recon (RONIRG1) pistol housing converts a Glock into a weapon with a longer sight radius and allows the operator two-handed control.
With the RONI Recon, an operator can add an optic onto the 9.5-inch rail that runs the length of the RONIRG1. The ergonomic design provides a heads-up sight picture to improve target acquisition, according to the company.
The rear sling swivel enables the company's one-point sling (OPS) to improve stability while engaging targets. Add a set of our front and rear (FFS/FRS) flip-up sights for additional target acquisition. The included side rails support various lights or lasers.
The company also produces a set of short bipods (NBPS/SBPS) for even more stability and bench-rest competition shooting.
The addition of a forward grip to the RONI Recon puts it in the category of an "Any Other Weapon" (AOW), making it subject to National Firearms Act rules. The addition of a stock to the RONI Recon puts it in the category of Short Barrel Rifle (SBR), which is also subject to NFA rules.
