Glock Inc. is now accepting photo submissions from Glock owners and gun enthusiasts for a chance to have their photo appear in the official Glock 2012 calendar. Photos will be judged based on emotional response and artistic merit, according to the company.

"We at Glock see this unique campaign as a way to put the spotlight on our devoted customers, showcasing the unique level of passion and loyalty that has been the basis of our success here in the U.S.," according to Gary Fletcher, Glock vice president. "Glock is very proud to continue to be the chosen firearm for more than 65% of the U.S. law enforcement market. It's Glock's reliability and durability that have made Glock pistols famous, and our loyal customers who have helped us to remain on top."

The contest runs until 11:59 p.m. July 31, and entrants may only submit one photo per person. The photo must be sent as a .JPG file and should be at least 300 dpi in size. There will be one photo selected for inclusion in the calendar, representing one month. The winning submitter will receive a prize pack of Glock-branded merchandise, as well as have their photo appear in the calendar.

Submissions must be in compliance with the rules and guidelines. GLOCK prides itself on being "Safe. Simple. Fast." In this instance, a "safe" photo must remain within the standard firearms safety guidelines, such as no finger on the trigger, no guns pointing at the camera, and all individuals shooting must be wearing both ear and eye protection. Winners will be announced in September.

Fans can begin submitting their photos immediately via e-mail to GLOCK@leaderenterprises.com with the subject line, "GLOCK Calendar Photo."

In addition, contestants are encouraged to become "fans" of the official Glock Inc. Facebook fan page, where they can review contest details and view "editor's pick" submissions throughout the duration of the contest.
