Taurus Introduces Pistol-Caliber Carbine

May 06, 2011  |

Taurus has introduced its Carbine CT G2, a pistol-caliber long gun developed with input from miltary and law enforcement personnel, according to the company.

The Carbine CT G2 is constructed with a hybrid aluminum-polymer steel frame, black anodized finish and polymer lower receiver. A flat-top aluminum upper receiver with Picatinny rail enables the mounting of a variety of optics. Additional features include a two-position safety/fire selector, adjustable rear sight, fixed front sight and ambidextrous slide catch.

The Carbine CT G2 is available in four different models: CT9G2L (9mm, 10+1, long handguard), CT40G2L (.40 S&W, 10+1, long handguard), CT40G2M (.40 S&W, 10+1, medium handguard) or CT45G2M (.45 ACP, 10+1, medium handguard).

All models have a 16-inch barrel, overall length of 31.5 inches and weight from 134 to 148 ounces. The Carbine CT G2 also arrives with Taurus' key lock. Suggested retail is $820.
