SIG Sauer has introduced its P290 Sub-Compact 9mm pistol as an additional concealed carry option that "puts all the power of a full-size 9mm in a lightweight and versatile polymer pistol design," according to SIG.

The P290 is available in double action only (DAO). The stainless slide carries the popular SIG Sauer serrations and is finished in either a natural stainless or a black Nitron finish. Unique to the P290 are polymer customized grip plates in aluminum, wood or polymer that can be engraved with the owner's initials.

The pistol arrives with Contrast/SIGLITE night sights. Laser sighting is optional.

The P290 is 5.5 inches in length with a 2.9-inch barrel and arrives with a six-round magazine. It weighs 20.05 ounces with the magazine.
