Bushmaster Recalls ACR

The ACR is being recalled because it could potentially fire more than one round with a single trigger pull, which is obviously dangerous. It was not designed to do that.

Bushmaster has issued a recall of its Adaptive Combat Rifle (ACR) after a flaw was discovered, according to the company.

The ACR is being recalled because it could potentially fire more than one round with a single trigger pull, which is obviously dangerous. It was not designed to do that. The recall only affects the ACR, not other Bushmaster rifles.

The company is asking ACR owners to stop using the rifle immediately and return it to Bushmaster. If you own the rifle, stop using it immediately.

Contact Bushmaster before shipping the gun. Bushmaster will provide instructions for return of the rifle and will pay for the shipping. They'll fix the problem, and send the rifle back to you as soon as possible.

Contact Bushmaster at (800) 883-6229. Customer service agents are available weekdays 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern time. Be ready to provide the weapon's serial number.
