This is a very unfortunate incident for all involved, but when police officers are assaulted with a weapon that could certainly cause death or at the very least a permanent disability, what is the other officer to do. Had this person struck and killed his own brother in front of the officer without the officer reacting, then the Police would be wrong on that as well. Lets put personal responsibility back where it should be, on the persons who caused this to start out with.
