Cash-strapped agencies can turn to a national nonprofit organization for supplies in exchange for a small annual fee. Since 1977, The National Association for the Exchange of Industrial Resources (NAEIR) has collected donations of new, overstock inventory from corporations across the country. Those goods have been distributed to more than 9,500 organizations nationwide.
As members, law enforcement agencies can request items from 200-page catalogs, monthly fliers, or from NAEIR’s online system, NAEIR e-xpress.
