The Vectrix VX-1 Personal Electric Vehicle is a powerful electric scooter capable of reaching speeds in excess of 65 mph. It has a range of 55 to 85 miles, and is very quiet and economical to operate. The company says the VX-1 can be run for about a penny a mile. Vectrix scooters are currently on duty with public safety agencies nationwide, including the U.S. Capitol Police Department, Washington D.C. Metropolitan Police Department, New York Police Department, and Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
