Chevrolet Tahoe Popular with K-9 Units

Because dogs are vulnerable to heat, the Tahoe PPV has more heating and cooling vents in the vehicle’s third-row area than any other police utility vehicle, according to Chevy. In the Tahoe PPV, the seat is eliminated to make room for the K-9 unit’s kennel. This allows the industry’s only third-row upper and lower air vents to circulate cooled air into the back of the vehicle.

Chevy Recalling 47,000 Caprice Patrol Vehicles for Seat Belt Concern

According to documents GM filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, flexible steel cables that connect seat belts to the vehicle at the outside of the driver seat may be bent from being sat upon while entering the vehicle. Over time, repeated bending may break the cable.
