VIDEO: Man Dumped Gas on Cruiser, Lit It on Fire

Southbridge, Mass., Police say a man walked up to an unoccupied cruiser at the police station, dumped gasoline on it, and lit then it on fire late Tuesday night, reports FOX25 in Boston.

Officers say Arthur Burnham of Southbridge stood by and cheered while the cruiser burned. In cell phone video obtained by FOX25, a man can be heard laughing and yelling "It's on fire!" before he's arrested. He can also be heard yelling, "They're civil rights violators!" at the officers.

Burnham was charged with arson of a motor vehicle and malicious destruction of property. A not guilty plea was entered at his arraignment Wednesday. He was held without bail and ordered to undergo a mental health evaluation before returning to court next month.

At least we were lucky enough not to have had any officers in the car at the time. Yeah, get him a mental health eval so he can say I didn't know what I was doing when I started the fire. Never mind his remarks about the officers being civil rights violators. Here comes Sharpton!

I am tired of people getting hot at the cops.

So when anything happens to a person of color it's considered a hate crime, at what point are these attacks on LE going to be considered the same? Of course the media would never consider them one in the same.

Jon, Sharpton won't do a thing because this guy is white. Thank God the officer hadn't left the K-9 in the car while he was inside doing paperwork.

DeputyDog you are right about Sharpton not doing anything. I couldn't resist giving him a jab anyway. Yes, thank God the officer didn't leave the dog in the car. That would have been horrific beyond words.
