VIDEO: Ariz. 'Cop Car' Wheelchair
An Arizona foundation has provided a customized "cop car" wheelchair to a Peoria Police Department investigator who was paralyzed in a gunfight with a homicide suspect.
Investigator Bill Weigt received a chair that includes police equipment such as a lightbar, siren, and two-way mic.
The chair, which cost $35,000, was provided by the Liz Soden Foundation, which provides wheelchairs to officers who have been paralyzed in the line of duty, reports KVUE.
