Gamber-Johnson has introduced a new vehicle-specific console box that's designed specifically for the 2012-13 Ford Police Interceptor Utility.

The Ford P.I. Utility console box attaches to the vehicle without the need for a leg kit or top plate. Six fasteners for mounting the console box allow for quick installation. A removable top plate and center brace ease radio installation and routing of wiring.

A top mounting platform allows the computer to be mounted offset toward the passenger side. A vertical, angled section accommodates 6 inches of mounting space, and the console is designed to house full-size radios.

A horizontal, low-profile section accommodates 7 inches of mounting space with an internal cup holder—11.5 inches without an internal cup holder—and is designed to house radio control heads and accessories. A 12-volt plug insert is located on the passenger side.

There are two versions of the Ford Utility PI console box. Both include standard faceplates—full faceplates are sold separately—and filler panels.  One version of the console also comes with an armrest and internal dual cup holders (Item No. 7160-0411). The other version is just the console box (Item No. 7160-0412).

The console can be used with a passenger side vehicle base solution (Item No. 7160-0350).

The latest in Gamber-Johnson's industry leading, vehicle specific consoles for the public safety market. Defining Rugged, Gamber again engineers the best console for the Ford PI Utility joining the family with the PI Sedan, Charger and Caprice.

This console looks great. I like the fact that its not an erector set console and the last new Gamber consoles have been very easy for our shop to install. I like the face plate system that is used also.
