Va. Deputy Killed In Crash

A Charles City County (Va.) Sheriff's deputy was killed while responding as backup to another deputy, when he cruiser struck a tree.
Deputy Michael Walizer, 36, lost control of his patrol car on Route 5 about a mile west of Route 155. The 36-year-old deputy died at the scene, reports the Richmond Times-Dispatch.
Deputy Walizer was wearing his seatbelt at the time. He was an 11-year veteran of law enforcement.
