N.J. Agency Auctions Vehicles Online

December 30, 2011  |

The Washington Township (N.J.) Police Department will auction 22 out-of-commission vehicles on eBay, according to the Gloucester County Times.

The cars range between eight and 12 years old and will have their emblems painted over. Additional changes include removing the partitions, overhead lights, police radios, and sirens.

The department recently sold its first vehicle, a five-year-old seized car that drew about $15,000. The cars will be added to the site within the next few weeks, and are expected to bring $1,000 to $3,000 each.
